Statement of Faith

  • We believe in the Bible as the inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16-17, 2 Pet. 1:19-21).
  • We believe in one Eternal God revealed in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:1; Deut. 6:4; Matt. 3:16-17; 2 Cor. 13:14).
  • We believe that Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and that His crucifixion and resurrection made provision for sinful men to be brought into fellowship with God (John 1:1-14; Matt. 1:23; 2 Cor. 5:21; Phil. 2:9-11; Heb. 10:5-10).
  • We believe in the bodily resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ where He sits at the right hand of God the Father (Luke 24:6; Acts 1:6-11; 5:31).
  • We believe in the visible bodily return of Jesus Christ to the earth to judge the world (Acts 1:4-11; 1 Thess. 4:13-5:11).
  • We believe in the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Godhead and that His ministry and gifts are given to build up His church (Gen. 1:1-2; 1 Cor. 6:19; 12).
  • We believe in the reality of Satan (the tempter) and Hell and eternal separation and damnation from God for the unregenerate (1 Pet. 5:8-11; mark 9:42-48; Rev. 20:11-15).
  • We believe that man in his natural state is a sinner, lost, and without hope of access to God except through the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 3:23; John 3:16).
  • We believe that salvation is possible through repentance from sin, a total submission to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and that it is totally by the blood of Jesus and by grace, through faith, and not by works (Mark 1:15; Luke 4:8; Eph. 2:8-9).
  • We believe that the role of the local church is vital in the obedience of the follower of Christ and that membership is a serious commitment between the leadership and the member in which the leadership provides spiritual oversight and protection and the member responds with a spirit of cooperation and submission in the Lord (Matt. 16:18; Heb. 10:25; Heb. 13:17).
